NDIS Physiotherapy
What Is NDIS Physiotherapy and Who Is It For?
NDIS physiotherapy is funded support that helps participants improve their movement, strength, independence, and quality of life. It is available to NDIS participants with funding under Improved Daily Living or Improved Health and Wellbeing and it does not require a GP referral to get started.
NDIS physiotherapy is designed for patients with a disability or chronic condition which affects their movement and function. As a registered NDIS provider, Physiophi provides programs tailored to the individual needs of each participant, and delivers them with expertise and care.
What NDIS Physiotherapy Services Does Physiophi Offer?
Physiophi offers a wide range of services to align with the goals of our clients, including but not limited to:
Assessment
All NDIS programs will include an initial assessment to establish the specifics of the participant’s condition, treatment history and what needs to be worked on.
Treatment
We offer hands-on treatment such as massage therapy, dry needling and joint mobilisation to alleviate any acute issues the participant is feeling.
Exercise program
We aim to design exercise programs that are easily actionable and rewarding, not just generic handouts which end up being neglected.
Mobility and functional support
Generally this involves hands-on training geared towards helping our clients handle day-to-day challenges.
How Are NDIS Physiotherapy Treatment Plans Personalised?
Physiophi understands that no two NDIS participants are the same. As such, we engage deeply with each client to ensure that we are tailoring our treatment plans towards their individual goals.
Recognising that a disabled client is more than just their condition helps us to design holistic treatment plans which not only treats immediate needs, but builds toward the long-term independence and quality of life that every participant deserves.
Can a Physiophi Physio Come to My Home?
Yes, Physiophi offers a home visit service for those who cannot make it to a clinic. With many NDIS participants having limited transport options or mobility issues, we believe accessing quality physiotherapy should never come down to logistics.
When our physios come to you, we ensure that you receive the same standard of care in your home as you would in our clinic.
What Rehabilitation and Exercise Support Is Available?
Our exercise programs are all designed around one goal: giving the participant greater independence in day-to-day life. This can involve anything from falls prevention to strength and muscular development training.
We have access to a broad range of equipment which can support the client in reaching their goals – this includes in-clinic sessions, where participants at our Jindalee location have direct access to gym gear at Goodlife Health Clubs, or a regimen adapted for the home environment.
